Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG)
PNG’s only locally-produced LPG distributed through a network of over 350 local SME’s. PumaGas LPG is a 100% PNG made product from Puma Energy NapaNapa Refinery. Since launching in late 2017, Puma Gas has achieved rapid national market share expansion to date.
PumaGas is distributed through Puma Energy operated bottling plants in Port Moresby and Lae, as well as through a network of local SME distributors and resellers across PNG.
The PumaGas business model is aligned with Puma Energy‘s focus on SME development by partnering with a network of over 350 distributors and resellers to distribute LPG across PNG. This partnership is also supported by Puma Energy’s provision of technical services in conversions, installation and maintenance.
Due to its unique chemical composition, PumaGas is capable of a faster heating period and lasts longer than other LPG sold in the PNG market creating a unique and compelling offer for domestic consumers.
Saving money and the environment
From storage, through bottling to distribution, our priorities are to offer value for money, quality of service and promote high safety standards. LPG provides a low carbon, low pollution alternative and increasing numbers of consumers choose it as an efficient and cost-effective solution in place of kerosene and wood.
Extending our LPG offer
The switch to LPG has clear environmental benefits, as deforestation becomes an increasingly pressing issue in many countries. Our expansion plan for PumaGas remains focused on driving consumer conversions in the established markets as well as working with our partners in accelerating LPG adaptation in regional areas. With governments, businesses and consumers in emerging markets becoming more focused on the need to include lower carbon alternatives in their energy mix, we believe that rising demand will help us build and extend our LPG offer.
